We were created to live life in community with one another and God. Community Groups at Cascade provide the opportunity to move from simply “attending church” to connecting with others and being the Church.
Community Groups are the hub of ministry at CCC. They are a place where we can gather regularly to share life through friendship, accountability, support and fun. They are a place where we can stretch and grow in (or even start!) our faith and continue to become more like Christ in our daily lives.
The majority of our Community Groups at CCC are sermon-based, discussing the previous Sunday’s message. There are also other groups including men’s groups and women’s groups. Community Groups require a ten-week commitment and are comprised of 10-16 people. They meet weekly to share life, study God’s word and build relationships.
While there are some intentional one season groups, most of the groups will have the choice of staying in the same group, trying a new group or even taking a break. Many groups stay together the entire year. Community Groups do not typically meet June through August.
Community Group seasons are as follows:
• Fall (September-November)
• Winter (January-March)
• Spring (April- May)
Our goal is to launch a number of “general” groups each season (which are intergenerational) as well as groups that are based on your season of life – including young families, young married, young adults, empty nesters, parents of teens, etc. These are not meant to “box people in” but to help you find the group that’s the best fit.
Community Group sign-ups occur at the beginning of each season and kick-off during church on Sundays. Online sign-ups may also be available after the initial sign-up launch. For more information about groups or to find out when the next round of sign-ups is, contact Pastor Lyndsey.
