Cascade Covenant Church "John Devotion"
During the 2010-2011 school year CCC Lead Pastor John Jenks will be guiding us through a 9-month Sunday morning teaching series from the Gospel of John in the New Testament. As part of learning together from this wonderful book of the Bible we want to create a daily devotional written by CCC people!
These devotions will be organized into a book we will “self-publish” as a resource for people to use in the 2010-2011 school year. This book will certainly be used beyond that time as well. This is an opportunity for many different people at CCC to share some insights and reflections on specific portions of God’s word with our church family.
So what can I do?
We hope you will consider writing one or more devotions. Many of these passages could have 2-3+ devotions written on them with each focusing on different themes. We will need a lot of writers!
If you would like to write a “Daily Devotion” please….
- Review this outline of the book of John and select 1 or more passages to write on
- Sign-Up online through the CCC web site for a passage of scripture by June 13, 2010
- Review the “How to write a Daily Devotion” guideline
- Complete your devotion by July 11, 2010: turn in to Sandy Navidi
- If you have questions please contact Sandy Navidi or John Jenks
Please note:
If you can sign-up for a devotion before June 13 and complete your writing before July 11 that would be helpful! We will have lots of reading and organizing to do around this project so the faster people sign up and the sooner devotions are turned in the better!
