At Encompass, the mission is to nurture children, enrich families and inspire community.
Since 1966, the original dream of a hopeful group of parents to provide preschool services for their children with special needs has grown up to become many programs under one banner that encompasses the family support needs of an entire community. For 43 years, thousands of volunteers, donors and staff have built this non-profit family organization into a vibrant community place for everyone looking to expand the dream.
In the 2008/2009 service year, Encompass provided services for 4,291 individuals and families - 1,500 more than the previous year. Services for low- to moderate-income families increased by approximately 25%,
