General Information
Welcome to 2008! A Year of Growth! It’s the start of a new year and so we are kicking off a new season of community groups! Now is the time for you to get more plugged in to the life and community of this church. Getting plugged into a community group is as easy as three simple steps: Look at the chart below and find the group that best meets your needs/desires, as well as your schedule. Either contact the group leader directly or email Pastor Mark ( markh@cascadecov.com) showing your interest. Show up at the group and start living life together!
Easy as that! If you have further questions or if you are interested in starting your own community group, please contact Pastor Mark at (425)831-6222 x.4 or at markh@cascadecov.com . _________________________________________________________________________ CCC Community Groups Mission Statement Our community groups exist to help people belong, believe and become. As we engage in community with others, we enhance our potential to… Belong! It is a wonderful blessing to belong to God’s family! Community groups assist us in developing enjoyable friendships that are characterized by depth and authenticity. “You’re no longer strangers or outsiders, you belong here.” Ephesians 2:19 Believe! We can all learn from others! People can give us needed instruction as well as helpful inspiration. “See to it, brothers, that none of you has a sinful, unbelieving heart that turns away from the living God. But encourage one another daily.” Hebrews 3:12-13
Become! God touches us through others! "For you know that we dealt with each of you as a father deals with his own children, encouraging, comforting and urging you to live lives worthy of God, who calls you into His kingdom and glory." I Thessalonians. 2:11-12 What are CCC Community Groups? A community group typically involves 8-15 adults who meet regularly to share their life and spiritual journey together. We typically have groups that meet either weekly or every other week as: Men’s Groups Women’s Groups Couples & singles together Groups While each group can have its unique format and focus, building relationships is the primary purpose of our groups. Sharing in prayer, friendship and Bible study are the most common parts of each gathering. These groups offer a great way for people to connect with others in our church and move from “attending” to “belonging”. If you are not engaged in a CCC community group at this time we hope you will be soon! Please contact one of our staff members or ministry leaders if you have any questions about how to get involved! Most of our community groups take a break in the summer. If you would like specific information on what groups we have going at this time please call Pastor Mark Hjelmervik for this information (425.831.6222 x. 4) or email him at markh@cascadecov.com .
